After receiving my Certificate of Proficiency in Dental Hygiene from the University of Pennsylvania and working for a year in Boston, Massachusetts, I drove across the country to visit, California, and never left.

I practiced at the University of California San Francisco Perio Practice on Judah Street with instructors from the UCSF Dental School, and private offices for over 45 years.

During this time, I returned to Academia, and earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Sonoma State University in studio painting. Besides my passion for helping people prevent and manage gum disease, I love creating paintings, cooking, and talking politics.
